The cottage is reached by a private road, just off the A68. It is situated in a quite location with the village pub in Ridsdale only a 5 minute walk away.
Located at the edge of Northumberland National Park, near to Kielder Water and Forrest, The Hadrian's Wall and the Northumerland Heritage Coast with its sand beaches, picturesque fishing villages and castles, It offers an ideal base to explore the many tourist attractions within the region.
The cottage comprises downstairs:
The living room with woddburning stove and dining area; sunroom with stunning views over open country and The Cheviots and a comfortable bed settee for additional spleeping space; a separate, wll equipped kitchen, with most of the basics provided (e.g. herbs, olive oil ect.)
Upstairs is the large bedroom with king size bed and ample storage, the single bedroom and bathroom with shower over bath.
The cottage is centally heated throughout.
Outside is a large, fenced in garden and private parking for up to two cars. Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement at no extra costs.
Wanney Cottage is usually let weekly, from Saturday to Saturday, but short breaks may be available. Please contact the owner. It is available from 4pm on the day of arrival and guests are kindly ask to vacate the cottage no later than 10am on the day of departure.
Prices include heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and the first basket of logs. Additional logs can be purchased from the owner at £5 per basket. You will find all terms and conditions on the website www.wanneycottage.co.uk.

Tideway was built for my grandfather, a local fisherman in 1935. Tideway overlooks the sea and on stormy days spray has been known to hit the front windows! Fortunately this does not make the house cold as it is fully centrally heated and has double-glazing. The living room also has a coal fire, which adds to the atmosphere in the evenings.

Tideway has enclosed gardens front and back and a drive large enough to park 2 cars off the road.

Recently refurbished bathroom with bath and over the bath shower.
Bed linen is provided at no extra cost.

Many of the original features and some of the furnishings have been retained making Tideway a holiday home with character. Many holidaymakers return year after year but there are always some available weeks.
As there are no extra costs for heating, including coal for the fire, Tideway is an excellent place for a holiday at any time of year.
The change over day is Saturday. Please arrive after 3.00pm and leave before 10.00am on the day of departure.
One well behaved is pet welcome.
Tideway is a non-smoking holiday cottage.
Beadnell is a small village with a post office/shop and pubs serving meals. There is also a fish and chip shop and takeaway - opening times vary throughout the year. Half a mile down the road there is a small working harbour. There is also ”Beadnell Bay”, a sandy beach, with views towards Dunstanburgh castle a few miles down the coast.
Tideway makes an excellent base for visiting the surrounding area including Lindisfarne (Holy Island), local castles such as Bamburgh and Dustanburgh and Alnwick Garden.
The larger village of Seahouses with facilities such as Barclays Bank and a small Co-op supermarket, is 2 miles north of Beadnell. It has a larger working harbour and offers boat trips (seasonal) to the nearby Farne Islands, famous for their seal and puffin colonies. | | | |

It enjoys an ideal coastal position for touring the country. There are open views of the coast from the front and back gardens, both of which are enclosed.
The cottage is deceptively spacious with a separate lounge, dining room, kitchen and utility (washing machine, freezer and dishwasher). The large lounge features an open fire (coal and logs provided).
Turnstone offers three bedrooms all which have a wash hand basin , two twin bedrooms and one double bedroom ( which can be changed to a twin if required). There are two bathrooms, one upstairs with W.C, hand basin and bath and shower attachment, the downstairs bathroom includes shower, WC, and Hand Basin. Spacious lounge and dining room with kitchen and utility room.
There are private, enclosed gardens front and rear. The rear of the property is approached by a private, gated road, which also provides more than adequate parking for two or three cars.
Pets are welcome (£5 each)
TURNSTONE COTTAGE is very well situated for visitors who wish to enjoy the local beaches, visit the Farne Islands and Holy Island (Lindisfarne), the nearby castles at Bamburgh, Warkworth, Dunstanburgh and Alnwick or go further afield to visit Cragside and Rothbury, Hadrian's Wall and Kielder.
