Standing in the heart of the Northumbrian countryside, between the Cheviot hills and the coast, Spylaw provides the best of all holiday worlds: peaceful open countryside, magnificent beaches, Holy Island (Lindisfarne), boat trips to the Farne Islands, pretty villages, attractive border towns, and imposing castles to explore. The area is a paradise for walkers too. We are half a mile from the St Cuthbert's Way, which runs the 62 miles (100km) from Melrose to Lindisfarne. We are close to the Pennine Way, and are in the foothills to the Cheviots.

Cuddy's Croft is new for 2007. Set in the trees to the side of Spylaw, it looks north to Hazelrigg, and across to the crags at Bowden Doors. The cottage is on two levels, and has one bedroom with a double bed (which can be made into twin beds on request), from which you can enjoy the wonderful view shown in the lower photo on the right. The bathroom, with bath and shower, and the kitchen/diner are on the ground floor. The kitchen is very well equipped, including dishwasher, fridge /freezer, washer/dryer, microwave oven and induction hob.
