Cosy cottage on working farm, set amidst beautiful surroundings, with wonderful walks from the door, sleeps 2.

Set in the beautiful surroundings of Upper Eskdale, Wha House is a working farm with approximately 800 sheep. The cottage is ideal for walkers wanting to explore the quieter side of the Lakes. The Woolpack Inn is a 10 minute walk away and serves good food and real ales. Boot village with its small shop, the Burnmoor Inn and Poachers Bar (both of which also serve food and real ale) is around a half hour walk. Eskdale also has a village shop which sells groceries, fresh fruit and vegetables, food to go, alcohol and newspapers.

Warm and comfortable, the cottage has one bedroom with two single beds which can be pushed together, and a shower room with high pressure shower, toilet and sink. The kitchen is fully equipped and leads through to the lounge area with TV and video.

There are hundreds of walks right from the door - up Scafell (the highest mountain in England), Harter fell, across the fells to Wasdale with Wastwater (the deepest lake in England), or down the valley bottom, following the river Esk, past Stanley Gyhll waterfall to Ravenglass Estuary.
