There are plenty of interesting walks from the front door. If you want some exercise, walk just 20 yards from the front door and you're on a footpath leading to a wooded hillside with a stream running along the bottom (Biddlecombe). Follow the footpath alongside the stream and it will lead you to the Bishop's Palace in Wells. The bluebells in the wood are spectacular in spring.
