| | | Lilac Cottage, Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk | | | Traditional painted cottage in quiet part of Wells with private garden | GBP380 - GBP680 | Comfortably sleeps 6. Fully refurbished. Woodburner & gas central heating This grade 2 listed property was completely renovated in 2007 to provide very high quality accommodation for up to six people, although access to the 2nd floor twin bedded room is by a narrow "unique" staircase which is unsuitable for very young children and the elderly. It is however a guaranteed hit with teenagers especially because it has its own TV/DVD player and is very private.
No one can believe what awaits them given the cement rendered frontage to the property but inside is a spacious light interior which has been designed to ensure total comfort for our guests.
The beamed lounge features a large fireplace with woodburner for cold winter nights and the property also has full gas central heating. There are 2 large comfy sofas & the property has freesat TV with DVD player so you can relax in front of the fire after a day out & about in Wells or on the beach.
The well equipped kitchen has handcrafted units and includes a fitted cooker, fridge and microwave and the large kitchen table comfortably sits 6 people. The separate utility room contains the washing machine, dryer & freezer and is a useful storage area for outside furniture & BBQ.
The kitchen looks out onto a fully enclosed, private garden which gets the midday & evening sun and comprises both a patio area & flower garden, complete with garden furniture and barbeque.
The bathroom contains both a bath for lazy relaxation & a large walk in shower & the bathroom design seems to have been copied by many of our guests - especially the beach feature!
There is a large front bedroom with kingsize bed and a second double bedroom to the rear which looks out on the garden & beyond to another large expanse of lawned garden & flower beds which is shared with neighbouring Bluebell Cottage. Rest assured however that you are not overlooked.
A separate washroom houses a toilet, washbasin and heated towel rail.
We provide duvets & pillows but you will need to bring your own bedlinen & towels.
Going upstairs to the twin bedded room is an indescribable adventure for adults & children alike and while the stairs are rather narrow they are behind a door off the upstairs landing and safe from inquisitive young children - and grandparents!
The house is situated away from the hustle of the quay but within 5 minutes easy walk of shops, pubs and restaurants.
We also have two other properties in Wells-next-the Sea, namely Bluebell Cottage which is very close by & Cobblers Cottage which is only 100 yards away.
Please note that we welcome pets in all of our properties but we do make a charge of £10 per pet per week or part thereof.
We operate a strict no smoking policy inside all our properties & expect our guests to respect this.
If you book our cottage via the website you will immediately be charged a partial deposit and will then be required to pay the balance of the 25% deposit direct to ourselvs upon request with the final balance payable 6 weeks prior to your stay. | | | |
