Outside, the barn has open meadow frontage with unspoilt panoramic views and a wealth of local walks. Watch for gambolling hares or relax on the private patio and listen for the skylarks.

Tawny Cottage is a pretty cottage in a quiet south facing terrace, built in 1845 of carrstone which is typical of the area. It has been recently renovated to a high standard and is tastefully decorated, clean and well equipped throughout. Downstairs is a nicely furnished sitting room with comfortable seating, colour TV and video, beamed kitchen / dining room with electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dining table and chairs, CD and radio player, and utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. On the first floor are two bedrooms (1 double, 1 single with second pullout single bed) and bathroom with bath and overhead shower, washbasin, WC and shavepoint. Electricity and linen included. Jim’s Cottage is situated in a quiet cul-de sac adjacent to the Holt Country Park and a short walk to the centre of the town. It is a traditional, mid-Victorian, brick and flint workman’s cottage and retains much of its original charm with lumpy plaster, stripped wooden doors, oak floors, open fireplace and steep stairs. However, it has a fully fitted kitchen, bathroom and gas central heating. Jim’s cottage sleeps 4 in a double and a twin room. The excellent, safe garden makes it an ideal cottage for families, and both children and smokers are accepted, but sorry, no pets.
