There are many local walks directly from the cottage which give wonderful views over Morecambe Bay and the Lake District fells, and all grades of walking and climbing around the Lakeland area are easy to reach. Lake Windermere and Kendal are only 10-15 minutes away.
This area is quiet even at Bank Holidays and Lindale has a local store, village hall, and two pubs offering real ale and excellent food all within 3 minutes walk from the cottage. The charming seaside town of Grange-over-Sands, with a wider range of shops and restaurants, is only 5 minutes drive (40 minutes walk). A number of original features have been preserved to maintain the charm of the cottage including slate flagged flooring, exposed beams and an open fire place.
There two bedrooms (one double, one twin) both with views over woodland towards Rydal Water and Loughrigg Fell. There is an open fire and a colour television, video recorder and DVD player in the cosy sitting room. The fitted kitchen / diner is well equipped as well as cellar and outhouse.
There are night storage heaters in all rooms. Additional electric heating appliances are available in case of need. Bed linen, tea towels and a bath mat are provided free of charge but not towels.
