Here is a perfect base for walking and fossil hunting along the world famous 'Jurassic Coast'. We offer a lovely Old House in wonderful countryside with the huge asset of never having to use your car. It is available for both weeks and weekends, and is an ideal venue for family gatherings / special birthdays / holidays / large group long weekends and corporate bonding & study days.
The centrally heated house sleeps 37 in 18 bedrooms, 12 of which are en-suite, with 4 further private bathrooms and one house bathroom. Downstairs there is a large well equipped kitchen, laundry, and prep. room, including 2 refrigerators, a chest freezer, commercial dishwasher, range cooker, microwave and griddle. The dining area has a massive square table which seats 24 plus smaller add on tables for flexibility. Adjoining the dining room there is a large open area suitable for games and dancing with sofas and an open fire. The main living room is furnished with comfy sofas and chairs, a small library, a wood burning stove and a television, while the second (21 ft) sitting room is equipped with TV and a wood burning stove. The games room has Pool, Table Tennis and Darts. Four sets of double doors lead out on to the south-west facing terrace, and there is a large parking area in front of the house and enclosed lawns with a picnic and BBQ area. For that special meal we can recommend our excellent outside Caterers and a list of local (some organic) suppliers. Smaller groups can also be accommodated, by closing off some of the bedrooms in the back wing of the house.
