The South Devon Coastal Path which passes near the cottage provides walking amid superb scenery in either direction - toward Start Point and Dartmouth or towards Salcombe. Salcombe and Dartmouth are sailing centres - both attractive towns well worth visiting. There is a good sandy beach at nearby Maceley Cove.
The attractive, terraced former Coastguard cottage enjoys stunning sea-views, and features dining room and sitting room (with open fire) on the ground floor, with a door opening out to the terrace and garden. Also on the ground floor is the well equipped kitchen and downstairs toilet. On the first floor there is a double bedroom with sea-views and en-suite bathroom, and two further bedrooms sleeping two each. Set in 44 acres of wonderful countryside we have six beautifully converted barns overlooking lovely farmland views sleeping from two to eight persons. All share superb facilities including an indoor heated pool, a superb purpose built indoor soft play area for toddlers (including ball pool, slide, tunnels, lofthouse and other toys), tennis, table tennis, pool table and outdoor play areas. The area is awash with local attractions and there is an excellent 11th century local village pub that is child friendly. Wonderful sandy beaches are within 30 minutes.
Woodbine is our largest cottage, and will sleep up to eight plus two or three cots (if available) and is ideal for two families. Downstairs is a galleried living/dining area with a high ceiling, exposed beams and trusses, large French windows, a wood burning stove and a well equipped kitchen area including a dishwasher. On this floor are two bedrooms - one double with a four-poster bed and en-suite shower room/WC and one twin bedded room. On the first floor is a large gallery sitting area with pleasant views over fields and hillside. Here are two further bedrooms, one double and one bunk bedded. There is a separate bathroom/WC with shower attachment.

Sleeps 8. | £800 - £2250 | Folly End occupies a premier seafront site in the centre of Salcombe which affords direct access to the sea and glorious views. All rooms with the exception of the bathroom, cloakroom and single bedroom have wonderful uninterrupted views of the Salcombe Estuary. Although central it enjoys an unusual degree of privacy, with patio and balcony facing the sea together with its own mooring, and an enclosed courtyard to the rear of the house.
Folly End sleeps up to eight people easily, having one double bedroom with double bed, one very large room with twin beds and sofabed, and one bedroom with bunk beds. The double bedroom and room with bunk beds both have washbasins; there is a bathroom upstairs plus shower-room and cloakroom downstairs.
There is a newly refurbished, fully equipped kitchen with cooker, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer, and a very large sitting-cum-dining room with TV and video. There is a washing machine in the cloakroom.
All bed linen provided (except for bed settee), as are bath mats, kitchen and cloakroom towels. Guests, therefore, need only bring bath towels, hand towels, beach and tea towels. There is no parking available at the house. Non-smoking and pets not allowed.
